Abstract: Entrepreneurship is widely recognized as a vital solution for generating jobs, income, and economic development globally. However, rural areas often possess fragile and underdeveloped structures, making them particularly susceptible to challenges. Entrepreneurship has the potential to address some of these issues; yet, it faces numerous obstacles, especially for women in these communities. This study aimed to investigate the barriers to women's entrepreneurship in the villages of Baghbahadoran. The statistical sample comprised rural women selected by using the Cochran formula, resulting in a sample size of 250 individuals with a margin of error set at 0.06. 9 villages were chosen through a cluster-random sampling method across 3 rural districts. The validity of the research questionnaire was confirmed by experts and a pre-test yielded a Cronbach's alpha value of 0.725, indicating the tool's reliability. Data analysis was conducted using SPSS software by employing factor analysis to identify key barriers to entrepreneurship. The results indicated that economic and social factors were the most significant barriers. Specifically, the most pressing economic obstacles included "rural women's access to loans and banking facilities" (variance = 0.867), "rural women's inability to secure bank collateral" (variance = 0.848), and "issues related to taxes, current expenses, and insurance" (variance = 0.804). In terms of cultural and social barriers, the most critical challenges identified were the "lack of communication and recognition of successful female entrepreneurs" and "cultural restrictions on women's entrepreneurial activities", both showing a variance of 0.791.
