Abstract: The article outlines specific ideas about the energy system and the requirements for qualified energy engineers and engineering personnel in the development of the economy during globalization, the importance of engineering education in the development of society, as well as the role and importance of mathematics in engineering education. Some problems identified in the process of scientific, pedagogical and methodical study of teaching mathematics in engineering education, as well as the experimental test conducted to improve the quality and effectiveness of teaching mathematics, the analysis of its results, and the conclusions are described.
