Abstract: The sustainable development of tourist villages, leveraging both natural and cultural potentials, presents significant opportunities for regional growth, particularly in Indonesia, where such initiatives are rapidly advancing. This study focuses on Wringin Songo Village, located in the Tumpang District of Malang Regency, East Java Province, to examine the primary challenges and strategies for sustainable tourism development that align with environmental and cultural preservation. The research employs qualitative descriptive methods and SWOT analysis, utilizing IFAS and EFAS matrices, to evaluate the local community's role in fostering sustainable practices and enhancing the village's appeal as a tourist destination. The findings reveal that inadequate facilities and infrastructure are the primary obstacles to developing natural and cultural tourism in Wringin Songo Village. Conversely, the active participation of the local community represents a significant strength in supporting sustainable development. The study proposes several strategies, including improving the quality of facilities and infrastructure, preserving tourism potential, creating integrated tourism packages, fostering collaboration with neighboring villages, and enhancing promotional efforts. These strategies have substantial implications for the socio-economic growth of Wringin Songo Village, potentially increasing its attractiveness as a tourist destination while fostering sustainable community engagement and ensuring long-term viability.
