Abstract: AbstractThis article highlights the influence of one thinker upon my writing career: Andre Gunder Frank, not only renowned for his formative writings on dependency theory, significant in itself, but also known for his ReORIENT: Global Economy in the Asian Age (2000), calling for a radical break with his earlier formulations and fellow world-system theorists. In highlighting Frank and his “school” to the extent that it has influenced my own thinking, specific reference is made to a number of my relevant book publications. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
