This article presents the literary type behind the pericopes on fraternal correction and forgiveness in Mt 18. In the Old Testament, there are two ways of reestablishing communion in community life: mispat and rib. Both are applied in the reading of the Community Discourse and compared with other arguments present in the five Discourses of Matthew. After that, it is analyzed which one is the most significant for Mt 18 and for the evangelist's theology. This research concludes that the rib is behind the practical indications in the Community Discourse, allowing a new understanding of fraternal correction, forgiveness, the way Jesus and God act in Matthew and the role of the community. These contributions are important, since community life, in its broadest definitions, is essential to our society. Thus, it is possible to understand how to practice the Heavenly Father's desire that none of the little ones be lost. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |

O presente artigo apresenta uma busca pelo gênero literário por detrás das perícopes sobre a correção fraterna e sobre o perdão em Mt 18. No Antigo Testamento, existem duas formas de se reestabelecer a comunhão na vida comunitária: o mispat e o rib. Esses dois modos são aplicados na leitura do Discurso Comunitário e confrontados com outros argumentos presentes nos Discursos Mateanos. Após isso, analisase qual deles é o mais significativo para Mt 18 e para a teologia do evangelista. Esta pesquisa conclui que o rib está por detrás das indicações práticas no Discurso Comunitário, permitindo uma nova compreensão sobre a correção fraterna, o perdão, o modo de proceder de Jesus e de Deus em Mateus e sobre o papel da comunidade. Essas contribuições se mostram importantes, uma vez que a vida comunitária, em suas mais amplas definições, é essencial para a nossa sociedade. Assim, compreendese como colocar em prática o desejo do Pai Celeste de que nenhum dos pequeninos se perca. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
