Abstract (English): The article focuses on the work "Beauty and Art: Aesthetics and Philosophy of Art" by José Miguel Ibáñez Langlois, published in 2023, which is considered a significant introduction to aesthetics and the philosophy of art. The author argues that the study of Ibáñez's poetry should not be limited to "Dogmatic Poems," but should also include his later production, which encompasses both poetry and literary criticism as well as philosophical essays. The work addresses fundamental concepts such as the relationship between beauty and art, the importance of contemplation in the aesthetic experience, and the need for a metaphysical foundation to appreciate beauty. Additionally, the relationship between art, morality, and religion is discussed, highlighting the autonomy of art in relation to ethical considerations. [Extracted from the article]
Abstract (Spanish): El artículo se centra en la obra "La Belleza y el arte. Estética y filosofía del arte" de José Miguel Ibáñez Langlois, publicada en 2023, que se considera una introducción significativa a la estética y la filosofía del arte. El autor argumenta que el estudio de la poesía de Ibáñez no debe limitarse a "Poemas Dogmáticos", sino que debe incluir su producción posterior, que abarca tanto poesía como crítica literaria y ensayo filosófico. La obra aborda conceptos fundamentales como la relación entre belleza y arte, la importancia de la contemplación en la experiencia estética, y la necesidad de una fundamentación metafísica para apreciar la belleza.
