Abstract (English): Backgrounds: Cases of deviations in the cognitive development of toddlers in Indonesia are still very high. In 2018 it was known that around 62.02% of children under five experienced this deviation. One of the causes is the lack of nutritious food intake and of course this is influenced by the parenting provided by the mother of the toddler. Objective: to determine the relationship between knowledge and attitudes of mothers about the provision of nutritious food to the cognitive development of toddlers. Methods : This research is a quantitative and cross sectional design. The research population is households with children under five with a sample of 45 people. The research was carried out in December 2021–January 2022 in Sangget Village. Data analysis using Chi-Square Test includes primary data and secondary data. Results: Based on the results of the analysis, mothers who have less knowledge about providing nutritious food also have toddlers with cases of abnormal development of 62.5% and also mothers who have inappropriate attitudes about providing nutritious food also have toddlers with abnormal cognitive development as much as 83.3%. Abstract (Indonesian): Latar belakang : Kasus penyimpangan perkembangan kognitif balita di Indonesia masih sangat tinggi. Pada tahun 2018 diketahui sekitar 62.02% balita pengalami penyimpangan ini. Salah satu penyebabnya adalah kurangnya asupan makanan bergizi dan tentunya hal ini dipengaruhi oleh pola asuh yang diberikan ibu balita. Tujuan : untuk mengetahui hubungan pengetahuan dan sikap ibu tentang pemberian makanan bergizi terhadap perkembangan kognitif balita. Metode : Penelitian ini berjenis kuantitatif desain cross sectional. Populasi penelitian adalah rumah tangga yang mempunyai balita dengan sampel 45 orang. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Desember 2021–Januari 2022 di Desa Sangget. Analisis data menggunakan Uji Chi-Square meliputi data primer dan data sekunder. Hasil : Berdasarkan hasil analisis yang dilakukan ibu yang memiliki pengetahuan kurang tentang pemberian makanan bergizi juga memiliki balita dengan kasus perkembangan tidak normal sebesar 62.5% dan juga ibu yang memiliki sikap tidak sesuai tentang pemberian makanan bergizi juga memiliki balita dengan perkembangan kognitif tidak normal sebanyak 83.3%. Kesimpulan : Adanya hubungan pengetahuan dan sikap ibu tentang pemberian makanan bergizi terhadap perkembangan kognitif balita. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
