Abstract: An interview with Sister Helen Prejean, a Catholic layperson and anti-death penalty activist, is presented. Prejean talks about allowing spiritual advisers in the execution room, as well as her connection with Patrick Sonnier, who was convicted with rape and murder. She describes her feelings about death penalty and the traditional Catholic teaching on murder. She explains her approach to Vernon and Elizabeth Harvey, parents of 18 years old Faith Hathaway, who was raped and murdered.
