Summary:Environmental factors which influence the hibernation behaviour of the Natal long-fingered bat (Miniopterus natalensis) in the Bakwena Cave, Gauteng One of the main goals of this study was to calculate the average mass and forearm length of a colony of Miniopterus natalensis (Natal long-fingered bat) over the autumn and winter months in order to determine whether there was a decrease in average mass over the winter period.
