Abstract According to the nonlinear fluid flow characteristics in the ultra-low permeability porous media, a reservoir mathematical model is established. Based on the black-oil model, a nonlinear flow reservoir numerical simulation program is compiled. The numerical simulation program is applied to an ultra-low permeability block in Jilin oilfield, the comparative analyses of Darcy flow and nonlinear flow are provided. The simulation results show that when considering nonlinear flow, the oil production is low; production decline is rapid; the recovery percent and the formation producing degree are low; the water cut increasing rate is high in the late stage of development; water injection response of producing wells and water propulsion speeds along vertical direction of artificial fracture are slow. In addition to the high pressure gradient near wellbore formation, the formation pressure gradient of the most areas is low, and the nonlinear flow plays the dominant role in the fluid flow of formation. The numerical simulation software which based on nonlinear flow can anticipate the dynamic characteristics of the ultra-low permeability reservoir exploitation more exactly.
