Shrnutí:Gemycircularviruses (GemyCV) are a vast array of viruses belonging to the Genomoviridae family. Prevalence and pathogenesis in humans are still poorly understood. Different GemyCV species were investigated in 661 Italian subjects by species-specific PCRs. Only the GemyCV-C1c species was detected, with low prevalence and the highest rate in HIV immunosuppressed patients.
