| Summary: | In the historiography of the Habsburg Monarchy, the first half of the 19th century has received relatively little attention compared to the preceding reform phase from Maria Theresa to Leopold II or the long reign of Franz Joseph, including the First World War. In order to help closing this research gap between 1792 and 1848, this book focuses on that period and examines the interaction between contributions from the estates and central government demands in the area of military administration in the province of Upper Austria.
In der Geschichtsschreibung hinsichtlich der Habsburgermonarchie genießt die erste Hälfte des 19. Jahrhunderts vergleichsweise weniger Aufmerksamkeit als die vorhergehende Reformphase von Maria Theresia bis Leopold II. oder die lange Herrschaft Franz Josephs inklusive des Ersten Weltkriegs. Um einen Beitrag zur Schließung dieser Forschungslücke zwischen 1792 und 1848 zu leisten, konzentriert sich das Buch auf ebenjenen Zeitraum und untersucht die Wechselwirkung zwischen ständischen Beiträgen und zentralstaatlichen Forderungen im Bereich der Militäradministration im Land Oberösterreich. |
