Summary:Ensuring smooth and reliable data exchange in Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) relies heavily on the efficient allocation of resources in Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) sidelink communication. This form of communication, integral to the V2V framework, facilitates the transmission of vital information between vehicles without the need for traditional base stations. Resource allocation entails the mapping of physical signals and channels onto a resource grid, establishing the frame structure in accordance with established standards such as 3GPP TS 38.211. Central to this process is the consideration of the Modulation and Coding Scheme (MCS), a parameter that adjusts to evaluate Packet Error Rate (PER) performance. The different traffic scenarios like Highway LOS, Highway NLOS, Urban crossing NLOS etc are considered and analyzed for its performances. Moreover, the impact of resource allocation strategies on the overall effectiveness of V 2 V communication systems is examined, stressing the necessity for adaptive and efficient resource management. These insights offer a deeper comprehension of the technical considerations involved in resource allocation for V2V sidelink communication, facilitating advancements in the field of Intelligent Transportation Systems.
