| Shrnutí: | In this paper, we tried to use satellite link for providing IPTV services. The common satellite link uses fixed-size packets as MPEG-2 TS which has much redundancy. If a satellite communication system support IPTV, it must adopt ACM/VCM(ACM, adaptive coding and modulation, VCM, variable coding and modulation) mode for reducing fixed size packet redundancies. This paper describes the requirements for IPTV service using satellite communication systems. |
