| Shrnutí: | This paper study the effect of plug in electric vehicle in the automatic generation control of a multi area power system which includes conventional reheat thermal system in all the areas and the others are renewable energy sources like wind turbine generator, solar photovoltaic hydropower plant, biogas turbine generator, biodiesel engine generator and geothermal power plant. A cascaded Tilt integral derivative with filter (TIDN) and fractional order Tilt integral (FOTI) controller is proposed for the AGC system whose control parameters are tuned with recent Mayfly optimization algorithm. Comparative analysis of the proposed TIDN-FOTI controllers with I, PID and TID controller is done which shows the superiority of the proposed controller tuned with MOA in improving the system dynamics. The effect of electric vehicles (EV) in improving system dynamics is also analyzed. |
