Abstract Las Tecnologías de la Información y la Comunicación y la conexión a Internet están totalmente integradas en nuestra sociedad. Los avances han causado un especial impacto entre la población menor de edad, que constituye el sector más vulnerable ante las situaciones conflictivas que puede encontrarse en la red y, además, carece de recursos para afrontarlas. Por ello, familia y escuela resultan agentes determinantes en la alfabetización digital adolescente. En este artículo se analiza el papel mediador de la familia y la escuela mediante grupos de discusión y entrevistas a familias de alumnado de cuarto, quinto y sexto de Educación Primaria (9-12 años) así como especialistas en tecnología educativa. Los resultados ponen en evidencia la inquietud adulta por el escenario digital actual y la necesidad de fortalecer las habilidades críticas para el uso seguro de la red desde edades tempranas. Se subrayan la formación, la comunicación y la confianza tanto en el hogar como en el aula.
AbstractList The Information and Communication Technologies and the Internet connection are totally integrated in our society. The advances have caused a special impact among the minor population, which is the most vulnerable sector in conflicting situations that can be found in the network and, in addition, lacks the resources to deal with them. Therefore, family and school are key agents in adolescent digital literacy. This article analyses the role of the family and the school as mediators through discussion groups and interviews to families of fourth, fifth and sixth grade students of Primary Education (9-12 years old) and specialists in educational technology. The results highlight the concern of adults about the current digital scenario and the need to strengthen critical skills for the safe use of the network from an early age and through training, communication and trust both at home and in the classroom.
