Description
Summary:The article deals with the use of new communication methods in adult education and agricultural advisory services on the case of the Małopolska Agricultural Advisory Centre in Karniowice (AAC). The thematic scope includes advisory forms and methods, public advisory functions and education systems. The aim of the work was to identify the possibilities of using ICT in advisory, educational and information activities of the AAC, as well as to define criteria for the evaluation of education systems using ICT. The analysis of the AAC activity show that in the case of individual consultancy and solving a specific client’s problem, direct contact is the preferred form. Based on the research conducted, the increasing importance of distance adult education systems (remote or hybrid) can be noticed. The offer of training and information activities has been expanded, but there are still additional opportunities. When selecting an adult education system, one should take into account many variables determining their effectiveness and efficiency (including available resources, competences of the sender and recipient, action plans and goals, advantages and disadvantages of a given education system, cost).
