Journal papers published by Huazhong Agricutural University（HAU） since its founding in 1952 and collected by Web of Science（WOS）＇ s relevant database were outlined. Papers by HAU from 2002 to 2013 in WOS＇ s SCI-E database were analyzed by bibliometric in areas of yearly distribution, journal source, research areas with high number of published papers, productive authors and highly cited papers, etc., so as to sum up the development of HAU＇s teaching and research and provide reference for further increasing HAU＇ s research outputs.
