| Shrnutí: | In this study of 4758 HIV-1–serodiscordant heterosexual couples in Kenya and Uganda, daily antiretroviral prophylaxis (with tenofovir or emtricitabine–tenofovir) in the HIV-1–negative partner significantly decreased the risk of HIV infection.
