Zusammenfassung:The "Guidelines for adolescent health research", a consensus product of numerous professional experts and groups that was written in the early 1990s, provides a framework to interpret the federal regulations for protection of human subjects in light of the unique legal, ethical,developmental, contextual and cultural issues that affect adolescents. Presents a revised Position Paper on these guidelines to reflect developments in recent years. The guidelines themselves, first published in the Journal of Adolescent Health 1995;17: 264-269, and which have not been revised at all, are reproduced at the end of the position paper.
