Description
Summary:The results of studying the reliability and efficiency of the semianalytical finite-element method for determining the parameters of linear fracture mechanics in dynamic problems are presented. The effect of approximation of a crack by special finite elements on the accuracy of the calculated parameters of fracture mechanics is analyzed. The direct determination of the stress intensity factor (SIF) is compared to the energy approach based on the J-integral. The reliability of the method of reactions in dynamical problems for different schemes of time integration of the equations of motion is studied. As tests, the dynamical SIFs are determined for problems of mixed-mode fracture. The capabilities of the approach are demonstrated by studying the dynamic deformation of a high-pressure vessel with a ring crack.
