| Shrnutí: | This article illustrates some of the principles and diagnostic techniques that can be used to manage patients with vertical dimension problems. It is paramount to the treatment of these patients to make a proper diagnosis of the problem areas before doing a treatment plan. This involves the use of cephalometric analysis in both the static and the dynamic modes and using orthodontics and surgery to intrude or extrude differently segments or groups of teeth according to the patient's needs. This tends to simplify the treatment and the following of restorative and periodontal procedures. |
