Abstract Analizamos las “escenografías cinematográficas” de serie de HBO Juego de tronos (Game of Thrones, 2011-2019) desde una hermenéutica interdisciplinar. De este modo, se ponen de relieve los procesos de creación de esas escenografías a partir de las experiencias cinematográficas precedentes, guiadas por una lógica fantástica y espectacular (un eclecticismo creativo que no renunciaba al pastiche o incluso el kitsch). Juego de tronos, empero, responde a un neomedievalismo post-postmoderno y sus escenografías han sido reelaboradas según una estética posmoderna que responde a la intermedialidad, intertextualidad y la apropiación, con el apoyo de la tecnología digital y sus esmerados efectos.
