Abstract Purpose This paper aims to review the latest management developments across the globe and pinpoint practical implications from cutting-edge research and case studies. Design/methodology/approach This briefing is prepared by an independent writer who adds their own impartial comments and places the articles in context. Findings Gender non-binary (NB) individuals face a variety of challenges in the workplace. Companies can help alleviate these issues by implementing measures that promote greater inclusion. Revamping hiring and promotion policies along with staff training to address biases and increase acceptance can lead to more equal opportunities for NB individuals and increase the employee value proposition (EVP) for them.
