Description
Summary:In a world that increasingly depends on complex, critical and intertwined systems, Requirements Engineering (RE) is a crucial discipline to develop and maintain Safety-Critical Systems (SCS). We studied the state-of-the-art (literature) and the state-of-the-practice (in-depth interviews with practitioners) with the intention to discuss what approaches are available for capturing, specifying and communicating safety requirements throughout the SCS lifecycle and point out challenges that still need to be overcome.
