Shrnutí:This paper considers how different options for digitization of early modern archives offer opportunities for increased digitalized historical analysis. To do so, it introduces a new in-progress digitization project, A King's Counsel: The Evolution of the Privy Council in the Reign of Henry VIII, 1530-1547, seeking to illustrate how combining modes of digitization can narrow the gap between researchers and their source. It then demonstrates the possibilities for historical scholarship by examining a sample of digitized Privy Council records alongside an epistolary network to analyze power and influence at the Tudor court.
