Popis: With the rise of global challenges associated with linear models of production, transitioning to more sustainable models has become increasingly important and urgent. However, this transition is not done systematically due to a general lack of organizational knowledge and motivation to apply existing models, metrics and frameworks for sustainability. The current sustainable value proposition in organizations also shows that management rarely has a clear implementation strategy and underestimates what is required for a successful sustainability transition to take place. In addition, few empirical studies exist to corroborate these observations. This research focuses on analyzing the organizational barriers to the long-term sustainable transformation process, by considering the interests of all stakeholders, including the planet. The objective of the paper is to provide guidelines in the form of a decision support framework to textile industries to adopt and implement green technologies in their sustainability transition process.
