本人在指导老师的指导下，以EAN13格式的条码图像为例，进行了条码图像识别算法的研究工作，主要的研究目的就是通过利用各种数字图像处理技术，对图像中的条码部分进行特征提取、分析，快速、准确、高效地识别出图像中的条码内容。在指导老师的指导下，本人经过不断的探索研究，最终完成了对条码图像的识别工作，并将条码图像识别过程分解为以下三个步骤： 1) 图像预处理：通过合适的灰度化和二值化处理算法，将条码图像的真彩图像转换为黑白二值图像，从而将条码的条空区域的特征表现出来，将条码的条空与图像中其他内容区分开。 2) 条码区域定位：通过寻找条码区域条空变化次数的特征，来找到条码区域，确定包含完整条码的矩形. ; This thesis is a research about the image recognition algorithms for bar code images, especially those in EAN13 formats.
