Description: Samples for benthic pigments (Chlorophyll a (Chl a) and phaeopigments) on the Northeast Greenland shelf have been collected with R/V Polarstern during PS109 between September and October 2017 using a camera-equipped multiple corer (TV-MUC; core area 0.007 m²). Upon arrival on deck, a 10 ml cut-off syringe was gently pushed into the sediment surface of three MUC cores (until 5 cm sediment depth) and then stored at -80°C. In the laboratory, the frozen samples were sliced into 1cm intervals and then analyzed using high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) after Wright et al., 2005.
