In the process of working in the business world, workers, both in the private sector and other sectors, must be protected and protected by law. Trade unions or labor unions are representatives of workers and laborers in a company. They have the ability to convey the desires of workers and laborers in terms of conflict resolution and building good relationships with employers. The purpose of this study was to study how labor unions are organized in the Makassar stevedoring labor office. Legislation is the organizational and qualitative research methodology used by researchers in this study. This study involved 724 Makassar stevedoring labor cooperatives, with 20 samples. Researchers conducted observations, interviews, and filled out questionnaires to obtain data for this study. The results of the questionnaire were examined using simple descriptive statistical analysis. Survey data shows that trade unions are quite active in making collective agreements, resolving labor conflicts, acting as cooperative representatives, creating fair, harmonious, and dynamic industrial relations, and directing workers' desires, and interacting with the labor market. planning, implementing, and responding to strikes. Analysis and interviews show that trade unions have actively participated in the implementation of labor laws and regulations.
