In this study, we present and evaluate two of the most popular protocols used in real-world IoT systems, MQTT and HTTP, with tests to evaluate the performance of these two protocols in the real-time IoT applications, specifically air quality monitoring systems. Based on these detailed evaluations, users can decide their appropriate usage in different IoT systems according to their requirements to fit the system. |
