| Description: | Parties as one of the most important achievements of civilization continue to be the essential institutions of modern political life.The development and establishment of political parties in our region should be studied in the context of this process in Ukraine. The emergence of political parties on the territory of Mykolaiv region – is neither special nor regional process. Every regional political party served as a part of Ukrainian party of nationwide scale and it expressed not purely local, regional interests.Political politicized organizations appeared at the first stage of the formation of a great variety of parties. Their activities prepared the conditions for the party creation process. Nikolaev regional organization of the People’s Movement was one of the first among such organizations. The idea of creating the People’s Movement in Mykolaiv was announced on environmental meeting in December 1988.17 members from Nikolaev NRU were delegated to meeting in Kiev, which was held in September 1989. Yuriy Didenko is head of regional organization People’s Movement of Ukraine from 1992 to the present days. «Ukrainian Branch of Helsinki Union» appeared in January 11, 1990 in Nikolaev. Later it became a «Branch of the Ukrainian Republican Party». In 1989 the movement contributed to the formation of socio-political association «Democratic Nikolaev», which took part in the collection of signatures against DKNS group. In 1999 «The Only Movement» gave birth to three independent political organizations. Two political parties appeared in Mykolaiv: the Ukrainian People’s Party and the People’s Movement of Ukraine. In the early 90’s in Mykolaiv region associations, unions and societies’ were created. They are «Environmental Association», «Chernobyl Union», «Memorial», Union of the Ukrainian language named after T. G. Shevchenko, Jewish, German, Korean, Bulgarian and other unions.1993–1994 years were years of intensification of party life in Nikolaev region. After proclamation of Ukrainian independence party palette changes in the country and in the region. Party structures become a part of the political process, as they have only preliminary program without implementation mechanisms. During the period 1997–2000 years parties of different ideological spectrum were registered in Mykolaiv region. So Mykolaiv parties are part of the political parties in the national scale. All features of Ukrainian political life are inherent for the political life of Mykolaiv region.Local opposition party organizations «Fatherland», «Freedom», «Front for Change», «Democratic Alliance» and others organized Mykolaiv Maydan in 2013-2014. The main demand was the resignation of President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych, dissolution of the Cabinet of Ministars and the Parliament. Opposition parties initiated a self-defense groups and provided educational work in the city and in the region. After the overthrow of Yanukovych regime, leaders of opposition Mykolaiv parties led representative and executive power in the region Статья посвящена истории становления и развития николаевских ячеек политических партий Украины. Проанализированы этапы становления многопартийности на территории Николаевской и рассматривается проблематика общественно-политических движений начала 90-х гг. ХХ в.
