| Popis: | The purpose of the research is to identify key trends in the development of contemporary circus, analyse its current challenges and prospects, and outline new opportunities within the framework of interaction with technology, ecology, social practices and the institutional infrastructure of the entertainment industry. The research methodology is based on the application of the following methods: analytical – to study contemporary trends in circus art, to comprehend scientific literature and professional sources; descriptive – to record current examples, projects and practices of contemporary circus art; cultural interpretation – to analyse the circus as a phenomenon of interdisciplinary culture that combines social, ethical and aesthetic dimensions; and a systematic approach – to summarise the material and identify a comprehensive paradigm for the transformation of circus culture in the 21st century. The scientific novelty of the article lies in the systematic understanding of the transformations of contemporary circus art in the context of global socio-cultural changes, digitalisation and ethical rethinking of cultural practices. Conclusions. The contemporary circus is defined as a flexible, interdisciplinary cultural system that actively responds to global social, technological and ethical challenges. Its transformation from an entertainment industry into a sphere of artistic, educational and communicative experience demonstrates the need to rethink the circus in scientific discourse – not as a peripheral phenomenon, but as a full-fledged art form with high potential for influence. The key directions for the development of circus art in the 21st century are identified. The main challenge facing the circus industry is emphasised – to preserve the uniqueness of live interaction while integrating it into the digital space without losing emotional authenticity. The focus is on the future of the circus, which tends towards human-centredness, technological flexibility, social sensitivity and institutional openness. Мета дослідження – виявити ключові тенденції розвитку сучасного цирку, проаналізувати його актуальні виклики та перспективи, а також окреслити нові можливості в межах взаємодії з технологіями, екологією, соціальними практиками й інституційною інфраструктурою індустрії розваг. Методологія дослідження ґрунтується на застосуванні методів: аналітичного – для вивчення сучасних тенденцій у цирковому мистецтві, осмислення наукової літератури та фахових джерел; дескриптивного – для фіксації актуальних прикладів, проєктів і практик сучасного циркового мистецтва; культурологічної інтерпретації – для аналізу цирку як феномену міждисциплінарної культури, що поєднує соціальні, етичні та естетичні виміри; а також системного підходу – для узагальнення матеріалу й виявлення цілісної парадигми трансформації циркової культури у ХХІ столітті. Наукова новизна статті полягає в системному осмисленні трансформацій сучасного циркового мистецтва в умовах глобальних соціокультурних змін, цифровізації та етичного перегляду культурних практик. Висновки. Сучасний цирк визначено як гнучку, міждисциплінарну культурну систему, що активно реагує на глобальні соціальні, технологічні й етичні виклики. Його трансформація з індустрії розваг у сферу художнього, освітнього та комунікативного досвіду засвідчує потребу переосмислення цирку в науковому дискурсі – не як периферійного явища, а як повноцінного виду мистецтва з високим потенціалом впливу. Виявлено ключові напрями розвитку циркового мистецтва у ХХІ столітті. Наголошено на головному виклику, що постає перед цирковою індустрією, – зберегти унікальність живої взаємодії, водночас інтегруючи її у цифровий простір без втрати емоційної автентичності. Акцентовано на перспективі цирку, що тяжіє до людиноцентричності, технологічної гнучкості, соціальної чутливості та інституційної відкритості. |
