Popis: As we begin reading the Book of Acts once more, do we, as readers, realize that the Apostle Peter is no longer the fisherman who met Jesus, yet also not the rock that Jesus spoke of? From this question begins a small journey toward recognizing the circle of transformation of Apostle Peter. His state of ‘from’ and ‘to’ unfolds across the pages of the Acts narrative, where he is still one who continues his journey of change, overcoming all narrative obstacles to transform, encountering his other self. But what about us? Will Peter’s example become our «mirror», as James reminds us in his epistle (1:23-24)? The main goal of this article is to introduce the reader to the narrative structure — the hero’s journey, which is designed to illuminate the archetypical nature of the characters. It aims to highlight the path of the Apostle Peter through the lens of this structure, showing how the different stages of the hero’s journey influence the perception of Peter as a changing individual. His journey from fisherman to leader of the community serves as an example of how failures and successes can lead to a deeper understanding of oneself. The application of the narrative structure for the contemporary reader shows that Peter’s example can be adapted to the life paths of each of us. Thus, we can find inspiration in Peter’s example and ultimately become better versions of ourselves, influencing the place where we are.
Вкотре розпочинаючи читання книги «Дії», чи усвідомлюємо ми, як читачі, що апостол Петро — не той рибалка, який зустрів Ісуса, але й не той камінь, про який говорив Ісус? З цього питання розпочнеться невелика подорож до розпізнавання кола преображення апостола Петра. Подібний його стан «від» і «до» розгортається на сторінках оповіді книги «Дій», і там він все ще той, хто продовжує свій рух до зміни, долаючи всі сюжетні перешкоди щоб змінитися, зустрічаючи самого себе, іншого. Але як щодо нас? Чи стане приклад Петра нашим «дзеркалом» про яке нагадує Яків у своєму послані (1:23-24)? Головною метою статті є ознайомити читача з наративною структурою — колом героя, яка покликана висвітлити архетипічність персонажів. Висвітлити шлях апостола Петра через призму цієї структури, показавши, як різні етапи кола героя впливають на сприйняття Петра як особистості, що змінюється. Його шлях від рибалки до очільника спільноти слугує прикладом того, як невдачі та успіхи можуть привести до глибшого розуміння себе. Застосувати наративну структуру для сучасного читача, показавши, що приклад Петра може бути адаптований дожиттєвих шляхів кожного з нас. Таким чином, ми можемо знайти натхнення в прикладі Петра і, зрештою, стати кращими версіями самих себе і зрештою вплинути на те місце, де ми перебуваємо.
