Psychological support is aimed at teaching a person to independently solve his problems and stimulate his self-development. An important element of this process is the stimulation of self-development of the subject of activity. Self-preservation techniques and forms of self-help, such as reinterpreting traumatic memories (self-recovery) and forming a new attitude towards trauma as a resource, can be useful for this. Techniques of narrativization of one's own life, positive reassessment of situations, restoration of the ability to create meaning, deepening attention to oneself, methods of reconstruction of the day, and the "Kentril's Stairway to Happiness" technique can also be effective.. Conclusions. In today's crisis conditions, the role of psychological support for the professional development of future specialists, the provision of socio-pedagogical and psychological assistance to all participants in the educational process, the preservation of their social well-being and mental health, and ensuring the implementation of the tasks of educational institutions is significantly increasing. Support is defined as the help of an individual in a choice situation, which creates options for decisions, contributing to the formation of an orientation field of development. At the same time, the responsibility for the decisions made remains with the individual himself. The meaning of psychological support consists in teaching a person to independently solve their problems, stimulating self-development. Therefore, an important aspect of this process is the stimulation of self-development of the subject of activity. Such technologies of self-preservation and possible forms of self-help can effectively contribute to this, such as the technology of reinterpreting traumatic memories (self-recovery) and the technology of developing a new attitude towards trauma as a resource, techniques of narrativization of one's life, developing a new attitude towards traumatic experiences and memories as a resource, positive reassessment situations, restoring the ability to create meaning, deepening attention to oneself, methods of reconstruction of the day and the technique "Kentril's Stairway to Happiness".
