Description:	The dissertation will analyse some remarks by Vincenzo Fasolo on fragments in the urban fabric, trying to understand his different approaches towards the remains. By reading the architect’s notes, it is possible to detect his opinion on the debate on the portions of the Diocletian’s Palace, in Split, as well as his explanation of the projects for Catanzaro’s reconstruction, after the Second World War. The outcomes differ depending on his inclination and will to preserve the fragments.
