Beschreibung: Introduction. The relevance of the study is determined by the need to analyze the role of industrial development in the Russian Arctic zone under geopolitical pressure. The aim of the study is to assess the economic and social effects of the "Arctic LNG 2" project in the context of the state strategy for Arctic development.Materials and Methods. The research materials included strategic planning documents (Strategy for the Development of the Arctic Zone of the Russian Federation until 2035), NOVATEK reports, and investment statistics. The methodology is based on systematic analysis, comparative assessment of socio-economic impacts, and chronological approach.Results. The conclusions emphasize the need to balance industrial development with the protection of indigenous peoples’ interests. The results can be used to improve the Arctic policy of Russia.Discussion and Conclusion.
