Popis: Social workers are among the key employees essential for the proper functioning of the Labour Office of the Czech Republic. Their working conditions change whenever new regulations or systematizations are introduced. As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic and the Ukrainian crisis, the working conditions of social workers at the Labour Office of the Czech Republic have changed and had to adapt to new situations. The aim of this thesis is to describe the working conditions and their changes at labour offices from the perspective of both employers and social workers during the COVID and Ukrainian crises. A qualitative research approach was chosen, in which workers were informed about the research project and the opportunity to participate through the directors of contact offices. The research was conducted using semi-structured interviews with social workers of the Labour Office of the Czech Republic and directors of contact offices in the South Bohemian Region. The data were evaluated through open and axial coding followed by data categorization. Both social workers and directors agreed that the crises had changed their working conditions; they are now more vulnerable to burnout due to overwork and high stress levels, with a lack of supervision. Directors strive to create working conditions that are welcoming and always comply with current legislation (for example, offering home office options), even though they recognize there is still room for improvement. The working conditions of social workers and any potential changes depend on their specific location within the South Bohemian Region and on the department in which they work.
