Description: Diploma Thesis is focusing on the health risks of alimentary infections of bacterial origin and their economic impact. The first part is focusing on origin of 3 alimentary infections (salmonellosis, campylobacteriosis and listeriosis), their description, methods of their transmission and factors which have impact on this process. There are also described the symptoms of these illnesses, principles of prevention of foodborne diseases, which mainly consist of adherence to the principles of safe food preparation and storage. The treatment of diseases is also specified. The second part is focusing on the occurrence of the bacterial infectious diseases in three states: Czech Republic, Poland and Denmark in the time of 2014 to 2018. The overall burden of the population and the economic burden of the selected countries is analyzed.
