Description: The bachelor's thesis focuses on the investigation of public interiors, specifically the bar and counter space in cafés. It is divided into theoretical and practical parts. The theoretical part deals with the history of the café industry in the Czech Republic and in the world, the theory of coffee growing and processing and describes all the equipment of the bar area and the typology of cafés. The practical part focuses on the layout design of the bar counter, which is based on theoretical knowledge and presents the challenges associated with its design. The main objective of the thesis is to present a bar design that meets the requirements defined in the theoretical part.
