Description: The bachelor thesis describes the effect of agricultural machinery on selected physical properties of the soil during the growing of sugar beet. The land which the research was carried has a luvizem type of soil and were located in the cadastral area of Mokré Lazce situated in the Opava district. The results based on the taken soil samples are quantitatively evaluated and then were discussed if the drive on the land has an effect on the changes of the physical properties of the soil. Soil samples were taken after each crossing and each sample has a depth of 0-15 cm and 15-30 cm. The first samples were taken out from the three locations and the rest were taken from the two locations, carried from the crossing line after a run, and from the place that were not affected by the crossing. The physical properties that were assessed are bulk density, soil aggregate stability, porosity and the amount of individual types of pores, maximum capillary capacity, humidity and minimum air capacity. Driving on the land had an effect on the bulk density of the soil and an increase of soil compaction as well as an increase of the maximum capillary capacity and the water resistence. A decrease was recorded for porosity and minimum air capacity. The effect of crossing was recorded on soil moisture. The content of humus was in the area of the interest low.
