| Description: | This article deals with the problem of the relationship between language and dialect in the aspect of sociolinguistic theoretical constructs such as loyalty to language and its social image. The research focuses on clarifying the place and role of the Sichuan dialect of the Chinese language in Sichuan province in Southwestern China in relation to the standard language. The study is based on the analysis of the results of the included observation of the communicative behaviour of the residents of Chengdu and the analysis of the results of the Internet survey. Putonghua, without doubt, has a high status and social prestige. However, despite certain institutional limitations in the use of the Chinese dialects, loyalty and their social image remain steadily positive, which allows talking about brilliant prospects for the vitality of the dialect. В статье рассматривается проблема соотношения языка и диалекта в аспекте таких социолингвистических теоретических конструкторов как лояльность к языку и его социальный образ. Исследования сосредоточено на выявлении места и роли сычуаньского диалекта китайского языка в провинции Сычуань на юго-западе Китая по отношению к стандартному языку. Исследование основано на анализе результатов включенного наблюдения над коммуникативным поведением жителей города Чэнду и анализе результатов интернет-анкетирования. Путунхуа, безусловно, обладает высоким статусом и социальным престижем. Однако, несмотря на имеющиеся определенные институциональные ограничения в употреблении диалектов КНР, лояльность и их социальный образ остаются устойчиво положительными, что позволяет говорить о хороших перспективах витальности диалекта. |
