| Beschreibung: | „Pedagogical hygiene”, a term used at the beginning of the 20th century in the magazine „Kršćanska škola” (Zagreb, 1897-1945), implies examining the suitability and condition of school buildings and their surroundings, the organisation of teaching, the quantity and distribution of school materials, teaching aids, students' resistance to mental work given their age, and so on. „Pedagogical hygiene”, therefore, encompasses approximately not everything that Marijanović (2017) designates as „school hygiene”. Juraj Cenkić examines almost all components of pedagogical hygiene in a series of articles entitled „Hygiene of Teaching in Primary Schools” (1904). In addition, the magazine's editorial board, to promote pedagogical hygiene, brings foreign examples of good practice and statistics on the frequency of school diseases and examines the possibilities of medical supervision in schools and the hygienic conditions in which young people live outside of school. Pedagogical hygiene, at the beginning of the 20th century, was also discussed in Croatian legislative bodies - the harmful effects of alcoholism and smoking among young people were pointed out. The author's attention is also drawn to the hygienic conditions teachers work in. This presentation was a part of the project New Topics in Croatian Philosophy from 1874 to 1945 financed by Croatian Science Foundation under the number IP-2022-10-5438. „Pedagoška higijena“, pojam koji se rabi početkom 20. stoljeća u časopisu „Kršćanska škola“ (Zagreb, 1897.-1945.), podrazumijeva propitkivanje prikladnosti i stanja školskih građevina i okoliša, organizacije nastave, količine i rasporeda školskog gradiva, didaktička pomagala, otpornost učenika na mentalni rad s obzirom na njihovu dob i drugo. Pedagoška higijena jest, dakle, nešto širi pojam od onog što Marijanović (2017) označava pojmom „školska higijena“. Gotovo sve sastavnice pedagoške higijene propitkuje Juraj Cenkić u nizu članaka pod naslovom „Higijena nastave u pučkoj školi“ (1904). Uredništvo časopisa u cilju promoviranja pedagoške higijene, donosi inozemne primjere dobre prakse, statistike o učestalosti školskih bolesti, propitkuje mogućnosti liječničkog nadzora u školama kao i higijenske uvjete mladeži izvan škole. O pedagoškoj higijeni početkom 20. st. raspravljalo se i u hrvatskim zakonodavnim tijelima - ukazano je na pogubnost alkoholizma i pušenja među mladeži. Pozornost nekih autora privlače i higijenski uvjeti u kojima žive i rade učitelji. Izlaganje je rezultat istraživanja na projektu Nove teme u hrvatskoj filozofiji od 1874. do 1945. godine, IP-2022-10-5438 koji financira Hrvatska zaklada za znanost. |
