Beschreibung: The relationship between the educator and the pupil is of fundamental importance in the optimal education of the young person. Therefore, the very process of education and its effectiveness depends on its understanding and structure. In this article, two previous basic models of the educational relationship (single-subject and two-subject) are discussed and a three-subject model is proposed. Its presentation is the primary aim of this article. Based on the study of the sources and our own findings, it was assumed that the following subjects can be distinguished in the proposed model of educational relationship: 1) the external educator “You,” i.e., the educator in the traditional sense; 2) the “I-caller,” i.e., the normative self-image internalised in the pupil; and 3) the “I (re)called,” i.e., the pupil present ‘here and now’ with all the contexts (biological, psychological, cultural, spiritual, historical and future) that led him to the ‘here and now.’ It is assumed that this particular dialogue which takes place in the space of the pupil’s inner world is by far the most significant in terms of upbringing; hence, the importance of the inner upbringing relationship is highlighted in the three-subject model.
