| Popis: | The article reviews the existing approaches to defining the concept of "translation strategy". The authors emphasize that the polyphony of translation scholars' opinions regarding the interpretation of the studied concept can lead to incorrect perception of the phenomenon as such by the students studying in the field of training or profile "Translation and Translation Studies". Guided by the linguistic theory of translation and in accordance with the communicative-functional approach, the authors propose their own definition of "translation strategy" in which they consider it important to underline that the choice of strategy is made by the translator, and his professionalism determines both the correctness of this choice and the quality of translation in general. The authors also distinguish between the concepts of "translation strategy" and "translation tactics". Статья посвящена обзору существующих подходов к определению понятия «стратегия перевода». Авторы подчеркивают, что полифония мнений переводоведов относительно интерпретации исследуемого понятия может привести к некорректному восприятию феномена как такового студентами, обучающимися по направлению подготовки или профилю «Перевод и переводоведение». Руководствуясь положениями лингвистической теории перевода, и в соответствии с коммуникативно-функциональным подходом авторы предлагают собственную формулировку понятия «стратегия перевода», в которой считают важным подчеркнуть, что выбор стратегии осуществляет именно переводчик, и от его профессионализма зависит как правильность такого выбора, так и качество перевода в целом.
