Popis: The current study aims to systematically search and synthesise the literature to explore the experiences of supervisors of the undergraduate academic supervision process. Using a deductive thematic analysis informed by a social identity approach, the current study aimed to synthesise existing research within an overarching theoretical perspective. Findings indicate that supervisors experience undergraduate supervision as one of flux and negotiation. Three themes relating to: (1) supervision as an internal negotiation; (2) supervision as an external negotiation, and (3) supervision as a liminal space, were identified. Findings provide a structure within which supervisors can make sense of their supervisory process.
