Description: Three days after the first case of COVID-19 in Slovakia, face-to-face education was interrupted at all types of schools. Teachers suddenly had to deal with the question of how they would continue in the teaching process. The article deals with the problems that Slovak university teachers had to solve during the COVID-19 pandemic in the introduction of modern technologies into the teaching process. We are interested in the question of how the teaching process continued in the online space. In Slovakia, there have been several problems with the introduction of online teaching. In the article, we explain that in Slovakia we observe two waves of pandemics and two approaches to teaching. While during the first wave there was no uniform approach to teaching, during the second wave teachers used several online platforms. We identify several problems that have emerged even after the start of using modern technology.
