Description: This article reveals current tendencies in the changing of a reading culture of university students. They are presented through the results of the survey, devoted to the specifics and nature of students’ reading (on the bases of Azovskiy State Pedagogical University). The study was conducted in April 2025. The author of the article determines that despite students’ dedication to different genres of literature, both modern and classical, their general interest in reading is falling and the students use the book mainly for the purpose of study, information search, and entertainment. Moreover, the library is losing its status, and the electronic book format is increasingly in demand among the students. The paper examines the possibilities of cultural and educational activities as one of the effective ways to enhance the reading culture of students and to raise awareness of reading among them. In the modern educational paradigm cultural and educational work is focused on the development of cultural and family ideals, educational activities and cooperation of all subjects of the learning environment. This allows solving priority tasks of educating a highly moral personality and enhancing its general culture. The author of the article comes to the conclusion that the integration of digital tools, social networks, traditional and innovative forms of work makes it possible to effectively engage students in reading, promoting the development of their reading culture, intellectual and comprehensive growth.
В данной работе рассматриваются актуальные тенденции изменения читательской культуры в студенческой среде. Они представлены на основе выводов анкетирования «Специфика и характер чтения студентов (на примере ФГБОУ ВО «Азовский государственный педагогический университет»), проведенного в апреле 2025 г. Автор статьи определяет, что несмотря на увлечённость студентов разными жанрами литературы как современной, так и классической, интерес к чтению падает, студенты обращаются к книге в основном с целью учёбы, поиска информации и развлечения; библиотека теряет свой статус, все больше пользуется спросом электронный формат книги. В работе рассматриваются возможности культурно-просветительской деятельности как одного из эффективных способов повышения культуры чтения студентов и популяризации чтения в студенческой среде. В современной образовательной парадигме культурно-просветительская работа ориентирована на развитие культурных и семейных идеалов, образовательную деятельность и сотрудничество всех субъектов образовательной среды. Это позволяет решать приоритетные задачи воспитания высоконравственной личности и повышения её общей культуры. Автор статьи приходит к выводу, что интеграция цифровых инструментов, социальных сетей, традиционных и инновационных форм работы даёт возможность результативно привлекать студентов к чтению, содействуя развитию их культуры чтения, интеллектуальному и всестороннему росту.
