The article is devoted to the theory of the caliphate, which was reflected in the works of representatives of Islamic philosophical and political thought of the Middle Ages. The author attempts to trace the ideological origins and historical genesis of this theory.

Автором осуществляется попытка проследить идейные истоки и исторический генезис данной теории.
