Popis: In 2025, the anniversary is celebrated by one of the leading scientific journals in the field of mining and related areas – “Mining Journal.” It turned 200 years old. Since 1825, from the moment of its foundation to the present day, it has been in the center of attention of representatives of the mining community: mining engineers, mine surveyors, geologists, etc. Throughout this long historical period of time, it remains an important source of information for mining theorists and practitioners, since its pages publish the most relevant research in this area. The anniversary date actualizes the study of the history of this publication. This article provides a brief historiographic overview of the main publications of modern researchers who either directly study the history of the journal in the pre-revolutionary period, or actively use the publications of the Mining Journal in their scientific studies. On this basis, all publications identified by us were divided into two conditional directions or groups. From this breakdown it can be seen that publications of the second direction (historiographic) prevail, while the first direction (historical) is represented by a relatively small number of articles.
В 2025 г. юбилей отмечает один из ведущих научных журналов в области горного дела и смежных с ним областей – «Горный журнал». Ему исполнилось 200 лет. С 1825 г., с момента своего основания до наших дней, он находится в центре внимания представителей горного сообщества: горных инженеров, маркшейдеров, геологов и др. Весь этот длинный исторический отрезок времени он остается важным источником информации для теоретиков и практиков горного дела, поскольку на его страницах публикуются самые актуальные исследования в этой сфере. Юбилейная дата актуализирует изучение истории этого издания. В настоящей статье представлен краткий историографический обзор основных публикаций современных исследователей, которые либо непосредственно изучают историю журнала в дореволюционный период, либо активно используют публикации «Горного журнала» в своих научных штудиях. По этому основанию все выявленные нами публикации были разбиты на два условных направления или группы. Из этой разбивки видно, что превалирует публикации второго направления (историографическое), в то время как первое направление (историческое) представлено сравнительно небольшим количеством статей.
